To create a live, first access our back office or our app available on iOS and Android here
On the back office click the « + Create live » button on the top right corner. If you can’t find this icon, make sure you have admin access.
On the app, press the « + » button on the top right corner of your app
Live title: Title of your event (max recommended length: 100 characters)
Description: Description of your event (max recommended length: 220 characters)
Displayed chat name: Change the name displayed before all messages posted by the moderators. Changing this will only be applied to this live (max recommended length: 40 characters)
Start time: Date and time of your live. Your viewers will be able to attend the event at this specific time. Your live may start a few minutes later, the intro video will loop as a waiting room.
Cover picture: The cover picture of your live (size should be 800 x 1080 px). We recommend a JPG file.
Products: Add your purchasable items. There is no limit regarding the number of products, and the display order in the list will be the display order within the player. You can rearrange your products after adding them.
Keywords: You can sort your lives display thanks to the keyword
attribute of your tag. There are no limitations regarding the number of keywords you can create. Please note that keywords are case-sensitive.
External video source: You should enable this feature if you're using an external production software such as OBS. Your server URL and key will be automatically created once you save the event.
Staging: Enable this feature to display the live only on a page where the tag attribute staging
was set on True
(usually on dev landing page).
Disable chat: If you enable this feature, the chat will be disabled for the viewers. Only the moderators will be able to send messages.
Hide this live: If you enable this feature, your live will not be displayed on your page.
During live creation, you can set your live to be in portrait or landscape.
This allows you to test your upcoming live event on your test environment :
Create a test landing page with your tag. Unlike the production tag, the attribute ‘staging’
should be set to true staging: true
. The rest of it remains exactly the same.
To see how to integrate the tag, click here.
Create a test event just like a regular one. The only difference is that you’ll have to turn on the « staging » parameter in the form.
Your live will then be displayed on your test landing page, rather than the production one.
The start and end splash videos are displayed before the live starts and right after it stops. They are short mp4 videos, less than 10 seconds, played in a loop. They can have sound.
You can have splash videos for landscape events and portraits. Changing the splash will affect all your future events, not your replays since splash videos are trimmed from the live when published.
Only admin users can change them.
Recommended sizes are:
For portrait: 720x1280
For landscape; 1280x720
Recommended file format: mp4
Once you created your test live and you're ready to go, select the live in the list and tap "get ready" to open the camera.
Pressing "get ready" doesn't start the live, you can use this preview to adjust your framing
Everything looks good? Tap "Start the live" to begin. Depending on your connection, it will take a few seconds for you to be live.
If you choose to stream your live in landscape, the interface will rotate to let you know that you need to film in landscape
You can start the live before the scheduled time, a countdown will be displayed on the top left. When it reaches 00:00 viewers will join your live. The replay video will trim everything that happened before the scheduled time (video, product highlights, messages...)
If you start your live after the scheduled time, your viewers will see the splash video before being replaced automatically by your video when you start streaming.
While live, you can do the following things on the app:
Check the metrics (viewers, add to cart and hearts)
Reverse your camera
Read the chat
Highlight a product
Hide the chat
Tap "End" to stop and end the live
You can also join the live on the web back office with the same moderation features.
To end your live, tap "End" then confirm with "End now"
Press "Submit to publish the replay" to put your live in review. You can now go the back office to review it. (How to review and publish your live)
Choose "Exit without saving" if you're doing tests and want to resume this live later.
TEST YOUR NETWORK: Go to https://www.speedtest.net/ or download the Speedtest mobile app.
Upload is the most important value, you will need at least 12 Mbps to stream in Full HD.
A network with fewer people is better than a fast crowded network as a sudden burst of traffic can interrupt your connection, try to test your network in the same condition as your live.
SD – Low connection, you’ll have a pixelated video (360p)
HD (recommended) – Good connection, the video quality will be 720p with an average bitrate
FULL HD – Very good connection, you’ll get optimal quality in 720p with a stronger bitrate.
NB: The video quality on your clients’ end will adapt to their internet connection as well.
If you using the cellular network, note that it might use 2-3Go of data per hour depending on the device, quality settings and network.
If you want to go with a more advanced setup with multiple cameras you can choose to broadcast a live from an external source. You will need a software compatible with RTMP feeds (ie: OBS, Vmix, Switcher...)
To use this option just select "External source" when creating a live, a server link and stream key will be available once you save your live.
Every live has a unique Stream key, you'll need to change it every time you create a new live.
Your external source software needs to meet these requirements
Resolution portrait 720x1280 - Ratio 9:16
Video bitrate 5000 Kbps
Frame rate 30 FPS
Audio Bitrate 160 Kbps
Check this page to configure and start a live with OBS
20 minutes before the scheduled time you can start your stream and preview it on the back office. Adjust the framing and check the sound and the video quality.
Viewers will start joining at the scheduled time, you can see the countdown on the top right.
Everything is automatic, there are no actions to do when you reach the start of the live, just make sure that your external source software is streaming.
While live, you can do the following things:
Check the metrics (viewers, add to cart and hearts)
Moderate the chat
Highlight a product
